This is a very short and quick test of a Resident Evil clone game engine. This first small demo showcases player movement, fixed camera systems, items to pick up, an interactive item menu, zombies that can bite you and can be shot, a reload system and environmental messages. There are other features which the engine has but aren't showcased in this demo, such as locked doors, keys and other events. Also, animations aren't blended at this time as, again, this demo is more for showcasing the features and general gameplay, not for late stage polishing of art assets!
Please keep in mind that this is my first time ever coding something from scratch and there is still much for me to learn. Hopefully though, this showcases that my 'framework' within an Godot, can be used to easily create Resident Evil style games/clones.

Looking great so far, Aydan ! I can't wait to give your engine a try, hope it'll be open source soon :D I hope this will help people make a bunch of tiny Resident Evil style games and stories, who knows, maybe one day it'll be the basis for a multiplayer RE-style game ? How exciting ! Thank you, Aydan !
